2026 Scouting America Spaghetti Dinner and Opportunity Drawing
Come join us for the Scout’s Fall 2026 Spaghetti Dinner and Opportunity Drawing! Enjoy a spaghetti dinner while supporting Scouting America Troop 895. Dinner will be served Thursday, October 22, from 6:00–7:30 PM, with the opportunity drawing beginning at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $15 presale/Elks members or $17 at the door. Come out, enjoy dinner, and support our local Scouts!
Bonita Optimist Club Book Sale, Fall 2026
Come join us for the 2026 Fall Bonita Optimist Club Book Sale! Browse a terrific selection of books at great prices while supporting a great cause. All proceeds from the sale help support kids in our community.
Join us Saturday and Sunday, October 3–4, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Bonita Museum, 4355 Bonita Road, Bonita.

Dance For A Cure 2026
The Junior Optimist Internation Club sponsored the Dance for A Cure 2026 at Eastlake High School Ruth Chapman Theater on Saturday March 21st, 2026. Cait Yance, Minhtu Nguyen, & Maddie Grapilon, Eastlake Junior Optimist Officers introducing their program to 400 attendees and explaining the Optimist Organization and support for students.
They shared how the proceeds will be added to previous donations for childhood cancer research through Optimist International. Incredibly talented young ladies.BECOME A MEMBER

Optimist International Oratorical Contest
Optimist International offers clubs a simple but spectacular way to get younger students involved in public speaking and prepare them for higher level Oratorical competitions. These contests are not backed by dollar awards, but encourage students to develop speaking skills and prepare them for future Oratorical contests. Optimist International Essay Contest
The Essay Contest is sponsored by Optimist International to give young people the opportunity to write about their own opinions regarding the world in which they live. The approach can encompass a young person’s personal experience, the experience of their country or a more historical perspective. In additional to developing skills for written expression, participants also have the opportunity to win a college scholarship!
